الملخص :
يعد الخط العربي جزءً مهمًا من التراث الحي للأمة العربية وإليه يرجع الفضل في تماسک العرب ووحدتهم وحفظ تراثهم .
والدراسة التي معنا عکفت على الوقوف على أهم المراحل الزمنية الفاصلة في تاريخ تطور الخط العربي على مر العصور وأهم ما أضافته الجغرافية الکويتية منذ بدء الکتابة الخطية وکيفية نشاة الخط العربي إلى أن بلغ الغاية من الإحکام والجودة ومروراً بتطور هذا الفن (الخط العربي) عبر العصور (الإسلامي – الأموي – العباسي – المملوکي – العثماني ) وانتهاًء بنشأته وتطوره في دولة الکويت ومدى عناية الکويتيين وشغفهم به حتى برز هناک العديد من الخطاطين المشهورين مثل يوسف السيد عمر الربيع ، ومصطفى بن عيسى بن عبد الله .... وغيرهم ممن وقع على عاتقهم مسئولية الحفاظ على الموروث الفني وإحياء حرکة الخط العربي من خلال إنشاء معهد تحسين الخطوط العربية والصندوق الوقفي للثقافة والفکر في الکويت .

Abstract:
The Arabic calligraphy is an important part of the living heritage of the Arab nation; thanks to the cohesion and unity of the Arabs and the preservation of their heritage.
The current study focuses on identifying the most important milestones in the history of the development of Arabic calligraphy throughout periods and the most important addition to the Kuwaiti geography from the beginning of writing and how Arabic calligraphy originated, until it reached the goal of quality and accuracy, and went through evolution This art (Arabic calligraphy) across the ages (Islamic - Umayyad - Abbasid - Mameluke - Ottoman) and ended with its formation and development in the State of Kuwait and the extent of Kuwaiti care and passion for it until there were many famous calligraphers such as Youssef Al-Sayyid Omar Al-Rabie, Mustafa bin Isa bin Abdullah .... and others who have the responsibility to preserve the artistic heritage and revive the Arabic calligraphy movement through the establishment of the institute for the improvement of Arabic Calligraphy and the Endowment Fund for Culture and thought in Kuwait.
