الملخص:
     يتناول هذا البحث علماً من أعلام الدرس النحوي واللغوي الذي كان له دور في الحياة العلمية في بلاد الأندلس في القرن الخامس الهجري الذي عاش فيه الإمام أبو الحسن علي بن محمد بن السِّيد البَطَلْيوسي المعروف بـ(الخيطال) المتوفي سنة 488هـ, فقد برزت مكانته العلمية بين علماء العربية في زمانه, ويبدو أنّ تميّزه بين أقرانه من العلماء لأسباب يظهر لي أنّ أبرزها ما يأتي: شرحه ديوان سقط الزند للمعري ت: 449هـ. أثره فيمن جاء بعده من شُرّاح سقط الزند من النحاة الأندلسيين والمشارقة, فقد حرص الباحث أن يتعرّف على شخصية هذا العالم أبي الحسن علي بن محمد بن السِّيد البَطَلْيوسي المعروف بـ(الخيطال) من خلال:
- تقديم صورة عن العصر الذي عاش فيه أبو الحسن علي بن محمد بن السِّيد البَطَلْيوسي المعروف بـ(الخيطال) لمعرفة حياته ومسيرته.
- دراسة المسائل النحوية والصرفية التي وردت في شرحه لديوان "سقط الزند", فيحاول الباحث أن يدرس هذه المسائل ويقدّم لها تحليلاً نحوياً وصرفياً عند من جاء قبل ابن السِّيد, ومنْ جاء بعده؛ ليعرف القارئ المنهج الذي سار عليه هذا العالم ما بين هذه الآراء؛ وقد ختم البحث ببيان أهم ما أضافه ابن السيد للمكتبة التراثية.

This research deals with one of the most prominent figures in the grammatical and linguistic lesson, which had a role in the scientific life in the country of Andalusia, in the fifth century AH, in which Imam Abi Al-Hassan Ali Bin Muhammad Ibn Al-Sayed Al-Baṭalyawsi, known as (al-Khaytal), who died in 480 AH, and it seems that his distinction among his peers of scholars for reasons that appear to me the most prominent of what comes: Explanation of the “Saqt al-Zand” by Al-Ma'arri 449 AH.
Its effect on the commentators who came after him who explained “Saqat al-Zand” from the Andalusian grammarians and al-Masharq.
The researcher was keen to get to know the personality of this scholar, Abi Al-Hassan Ali Bin Muhammad Ibn Al-Sayed Al-BaTalyawsi, known as (al-Khaytal) through:
- Presenting a picture of the era in which Abi Al-Hassan Ali Bin Muhammad Ibn Al-Sayed Al-Baṭalyawsi lived, known as (al-Khaytal), to know his life and career.
- Examining the grammatical and morphological issues mentioned in his explanation of the book “Saqat al-Zand”, so the researcher tries to study these issues and present them with a grammatical and morphological analysis of those who came before Ibn al-Sayed, and who came after him; So that the reader knows the approach that this scholar followed, between these opinions, and the research concluded with an explanation of the most important thing that Ibn al-Sayed added to the heritage library.
