       الملخص :
  كان سقوط الدولة الطولونية في عهد الخليفة العباسي المكتفي بالله( 289- 295هـ/ 902- 908م) 
الذي تكللت جهوده في تقليم أظافر الطولونيين وضربهم وزعزعة الثقة بهم في مصر، كما أن العباسيين لم يكونوا مخلصين أبداً لهذه الدولة، ولم يشعروا بالراحة لقيامها، لذلك لم يحترموا المواثيق والوعود وعملوا دائماً علي إثارة الشغب وضرب الطولونيين بمختلف السبل حتي أسقطوا هذه الدولة،
لذلك كانت الخلافة العباسية تنتظر الفرص المواتية وتعمل لصالحها ضد الطولونيين.
وقد استغلت الخلافة العباسية التدهور الاقتصادي والعسكري للدولة الطولونية في مصر فعملوا علي
استنزاف خيراتها ومواردها بكافة السبل، الأمر الذي عجّل بالمصير الطولوني في مصر.
وقد أدت هذه العوامل إلي قيام أحد ضباط الجيش الطولوني هو إبراهيم الخليجي أو ابن الخلنجي،
الذي كان هو وثورته رمزاً للروح الاستقلالية التي تطلع إليها المصريون، فعبّر عنها بثورته المسلحة
محاولاً إعادة مصر وقيام الدولة الطولونية مرة أخري.
وقد بدت بوادر نجاح هذه الثورة بعدة انتصارات علي الجيوش العباسية, وأُعجب المصريون بقائدها،
ورغم أنه أعلن التبعية للخلافة العباسية إلا أن الخلافة اعتبرت ذلك خروجاً عن طاعتها، فتم القبض
علي ابن الخلنجي بعد تعرضه لمؤامرة كبيرة وذلك سنة 293هـ/ 906م بعد نزاع استمر ما يقرب من
ثمانية أشهر بينه وبين الجيوش العباسية وعادت مصر ولاية عباسية مرة أخري.

Abstract:
The fall of the Tulunid state was during the reign of the Abbasid Caliph Al-Muktafi Allah (289-295AH/902-908ADwhose efforts culminated in clipping the nails of the Tulunids, beating them, and undermining confidence in them in Egypt, just as the Abbasids were never loyal to this state, and did not feel comfortable with its establishment, so they did not respect the covenants and promises and always worked to stir up riots and beat the Tulunids in various ways until they overthrew this state Therefore, the Abbasid Caliphate was waiting for favorable opportunities and working in its favour against the Tulunids).
The Abbasid Caliphate took advantage of the economic and military deterioration of the Tulunid state in Egypt, so they worked on it.The depletion of its wealth and resources by all means, which precipitated the Tulunid fate in Egypt These factors led to the establishment of one of the Tulunid army officers, Ibrahim al-Khaliji or Ibn al-Khilji.
Which he and his revolution symbolized the independence spirit that the Egyptians aspired to, so he expressed it by his armed revolution Trying to restore Egypt and establish the Tulunid state again Signs of the success of this revolution appeared with several victories over the Abbasid armies, and the Egyptians admired its leader.
Although he declared subordination to the Abbasid caliphate, the caliphate considered this a departure from its obedience, so the caliphate was arrestedAli Ibn al-Khilji after being exposed to a great conspiracy in the year 293 AH / 906 AD after a dispute that lasted for nearly a year Eight months between him and the Abbasid armies, and Egypt returned to the Abbasid state again.
